Policy – TCN: AmeriCorps Member Evaluation Policy
All Subgrantees must conduct a Mid-Term Evaluation on all FT,TQT,HT and RHT members and End of Term Evaluation on all members.*
Evaluations not only track the member’s progress towards completing their total hours but also towards completion of their service requirements and eligibility for another term if applicable. In an effort to improve our retention rate, The Corps Network requires all Subgrantees to conduct Mid-Term evaluations on all FT 1700hr, TQT 1200 hr, PT 900 hr, and RHT 675 hr members and End of Term evaluation on those members and QT 450 hr., MT 300 hr. and AT 100 hr. members as well. Mid-Term not required for QT, MT, and AT.
The Corp Network’s AmeriCorps Manual has mid-term and end of term evaluations for your use. These are based on the three questions required by AmeriCorps per Section V.G. Performance Reviews of the Terms & Conditions below. Since most Subgrantees have their own Member Evaluation/Performance Review Forms, they must either incorporate the required questions to their current evaluations or use the The Corps Network’s forms as the full evaluation or an addendum. The Evaluations must be kept in the individual Member Files and noted on the Member File Checklist.
The Corps Network requires the End of Term Evaluation include the Total Hours Served, which should match the total hours on the member’s timesheet on the last day they earned hours and the eGrants Exit form.
Subgrantees may conduct the End of Term Evaluation up to two weeks prior to their end date, logging the total hours at the time of the evaluation. The The Corps Network form has a section at the bottom where staff must add the actual total hours once the member has been exited.
If a member exits early with or without an award, staff must complete the End of Term Evaluation for that member. Be sure to include the reason for the early exit.
