POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Sierra National Forest is looking for a motivated student attending and studying forestry at Reedley College. The intern will be an SCA member who will assist the Sierra National Forest in various aspects of timber sale preparation, including timber sale marking and other silvicultural tasks.
JOB DUTIES
Various duties related to timber sale preparation, including timber sale marking and other silvicultural tasks. Record keeping.
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants need to be studying forestry preferably at Reedley College or have a degree in Forestry.
Personal vehicle required.
Must be eligible to serve as an AmeriCorps Member. This includes:
- Being a citizen, permanent resident, or national of the United States;
- Being at least 18 years or older;
- Having a high school diploma or equivalent;
- Being willing to undergo National Service Criminal History Check, including criminal background, sex offender and FBI checks.
