Supportive Services: Leveraging Social Work Interns at Our Corps

February 22, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant disruption in the lives of millions of people around the world, including young adults. Youth development is a series of interconnected stages that all young adults go through to acquire the attitudes, competencies, and social skills needed to be productive and successful adults. Their ability to successfully pass through each stage is often dependent on the people and resources available to them.

Join us to learn how Columbia University – School of Social Work, through their Field Education programming, can support your Corpsmembers through this challenging time. During this session, the following topics will be covered:

  • How social work students can provide support to your Corpsmembers by providing mental health support
  • Why creating a supportive services resource guide is important
  • How social work students can assist in the development of your emergency response planning
