Overview
Trails connect communities with nature, offering opportunities for recreation, education, and conservation. Conservation Corps carefully plan and work alongside environmental experts to ensure our trails minimally impact natural habitats while remaining accessible and enjoyable for all visitors. From rugged backcountry trails to smooth, accessible paths, Corpsmembers help provide a variety of trail experiences for different users. Maintenance is a year-round commitment, with seasonal crews undertaking tasks such as clearing fallen trees, controlling erosion, updating signage, and making safety enhancements. Corps programs also partner with local communities, schools, and volunteer groups to foster a sense of ownership and stewardship for these shared resources.
