Overview
Credentials are important because they show what skills, knowledge, and abilities a person has to potential employers. They provide proof of qualifications that help someone get ready for specific jobs, especially for underserved communities and young people who may not have had access to traditional education. Credentials—like certificates, licenses, certifications, or degrees—can open doors to job opportunities, help in career growth, ensure that workers meet industry standards, lower hiring risks for businesses, and be powerful tools in improving economic situations and achieving financial security. Corps programs play a key role by connecting individuals with credentialing options that match job market needs, helping create lasting career paths that lead to stable jobs and future success.
