The Corps Network Announces New Group Purchasing Organization: The Corps Cooperative
FREE benefit for members and affiliates of The Corps Network provides great prices and services from trusted vendors in diverse sectors.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corps Cooperative, or “Coop,” is a new Group Purchasing Organization of The Corps Network designed to partner with select vendors to offer competitively priced contract portfolios to The Corps Network’s 100+ member organizations.
The Corps Coop’s mission is to harness the purchasing power of The Corps Network’s membership to provide Corps high quality products and services at the lowest possible price. By having meaningful negotiations with vendors who are committed to promoting the service and conservation industry, The Corps Coop helps Corps and Corpsmembers meet their needs while staying in budget. Companies who already have agreements with The Corps Coop include:
Conservation United – An insurance and risk management company created specifically for conservation and service programs. Conservation United offers property/casualty/workers comp and health insurance. The staff at Conservation United have done their homework and are very knowledgeable about Corps’ specific insurance needs and challenges.
Enterprise Fleet Management – A fleet management division of Enterprise that has programs to fit Corps’ specific needs for vehicle purchasing and maintenance. Enterprise fleet management offers huge discounts on vehicle purchasing and maintenance.
ADP Payroll Services – A payroll and other business service that has dedicated staff with experience working with nonprofits. ADP has long been associated with The Corps Network and has always been dedicated to the Service and Conservation Corps Industry.
“We are excited to offer this great new benefit to both members of The Corps Network and businesses who seek to offer their services to some of the finest conservation and service organizations in the country, who enroll over 23,000 young people annually. We think it will provide a great boost and help Corps save money,” remarked Mary Ellen Sprenkel, President and CEO of The Corps Network.
“As revenue becomes harder and harder to sustain, nonprofit organizations have to look internally to find savings and get the greatest return on investment for their resources. Having an effective group purchasing organization that is available to our national membership through The Corps Network is a resource we all need to maximize our impact on youth and communities,” said Rob Spath, CEO of the The Corps Cooperative.
