Celebrate June 14, 2024
#ServeOutdoors
Background
June is Great Outdoors Month: a celebration of America’s public lands and waters and the many ways to enjoy them. Held in recognition of Great Outdoors Month, National Service and Conservation Corps Day seeks to:
- Celebrate everything Corps programs have accomplished for our country over the past 90+ years and show gratitude to the thousands of young adults and veterans actively serving in Corps and helping improve our communities, lands, and waters.
- Raise awareness about Corps and the importance of national service programs in helping maintain our public lands and waters.
National Service and Conservation Corps Day 2024
The Corps Network is excited to share that a bipartisan Resolution was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives to recognize the second Friday in June (June 14, 2024) as National Service and Conservation Corps Day. Please join us in thanking Representatives Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA), Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), Garret Graves (R-LA), and Doris Matsui (D-CA).
