ORGANIZATION/PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
LCCC runs a variety of conservation programs throughout the year. Gain natural resource field experience while contributing to climate action goals of Northern Colorado.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Contribute to local climate action goals in the great outdoors! The Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) offers positions to young adults to spend a season serving on meaningful conservation projects throughout the Front Range of Colorado.
Serve on a crew with 8 to 10 peers while engaging in a combination of hands-on projects and service-learning activities focused on environmental awareness, community engagement and personal and professional skill development.
Crew Leader positions are hourly roles while crew member and assistant crew leader positions are AmeriCorps roles, earning a biweekly stipend, AmeriCorps education award, and national service recognition. AmeriCorps positions are limited to individuals ages 18-30, see position descriptions for details.
Members are expected to serve 7:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday for approximately 40 hours per week. Most crews camp near their project sites Monday through Thursday, leaving from and returning to downtowns Fort Collins.

JOB DUTIES
Trail Crews: Complete trail building and maintenance, invasive species removal, and habitat restoration projects.
Forestry Crews: Complete fire mitigation, hazardous tree removal, invasive species management, and watershed protection using
chainsaws.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be between 18 and 30 years old
- Option for those over 30 to apply for Crew Leader position
- Committed to completing the program in its entirety
- Ability to remain focused, alert, and productive in difficult working conditions and perform physical labor
- Dedicated to Larimer County Conservation Corps’ mission
- Team oriented, punctual, and dependable with a strong work ethic
- Interest in making a difference in the community
- If selected, required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States

Trainings:
- S-212/Wildland Chainsaw Training (Forestry Crew): Early May
- Wilderness First Aid: Late May
- CPR Certification: Early June
- S-130/190 (Forestry Crew): Mid-August
- Mental Health Training and QPR Certification: July
