Join us for an inside look at the Trail Skills Project – a national initiative advancing the growth and professionalization of the trail workforce. This webinar will introduce the updated Trail Competency Framework, which outlines competencies and clearly defined skill levels (entry, full, expert) across five categories: Construction, Maintenance, Project Planning and Design, Crew Leadership, and Program Administration. Speakers will also share insights into the development process shaped by trail industry experts.
We’ll explore how these competencies are being applied across the sector – from higher education programs to the Trail Skills Project platform, which features a job board, individual profiles, and training opportunities. You’ll learn how these tools can support career development and strengthen connections within the trail community. The session will also highlight ways individuals (both aspiring and experienced trail professionals), training providers, and organizations can get involved.
