DESCRIPTION:In observance of National Service and Conservation Corps Day (June 13)\, join us on June 27 for The Corps Network’s 10th annual Great Outdoors Day of Service. This event unites young adults from Corps across the Eastern U.S.\, as well as many friends and partners of the Corps movement\, for service projects at iconic parks in and around the Nation’s Capital. The purpose of this event is to: \n\nInspire people to get outside and contribute to the preservation of America’s natural spaces. Hiking\, biking\, camping\, fishing – so many outdoor activities would not be possible without proper stewardship of our park infrastructure and resources. All of us can pitch in to maintain the places and habitats that support our favorite activities.\nRaise awareness about the role of service and stewardship in protecting and improving public lands.\nCelebrate the service of the stewards who protect our natural treasures.\nMake a Difference. We hope to make a dent in the backlog of maintenance projects at parks in the nation’s capital\, helping our resource management partners focus on other priority projects.\n\n  \n\nDATE: Friday\, June 27\, 2025\nTIME:\n\n8:00 a.m. = Registration open; breakfast available\n9:15 a.m. = Kick-off ceremony\, warmup activity\, safety briefing\n9:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. = Service projects\n12:45 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. = Lunch\, help clean up\n\n\nLOCATION:\nGreenbelt Park\n6565 Greenbelt Rd\, Greenbelt\, MD 20770\nLearn more\nRegister by June 13
