COVID-19 Response Resource Library
To The Corps Network’s Member Organizations:
In response to your requests, The Corps Network created a space to compile resources related to how Corps and our partners are responding to the global coronavirus outbreak. Sharing these resources is not an endorsement. For the most current and relevant information regarding COVID-19 concerns and response efforts, organizations should turn to their local public health departments and consult general recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Corps Network created an online platform for Corps staff to interact and share resources, ideas, and opportunities with one another. We invite Corps staff to create accounts and join the platform. Your account will be approved by a member of The Corps Network team.

The Corps Network has been hosting regular “town hall” discussions and presentations to help keep our member organizations and partners informed on timely issues.

The Corps Network Awards $250,000 Through COVID-19 Corps Relief Fund, Supported by The JPB Foundation
June 2 – The Corps Network awarded $250,000 through the COVID-19 Corps Relief Fund, made possible with support from The JPB Foundation. Across the country, 30 Service and Conservation Corps received grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 to help cover costs associated with ensuring the continued engagement and safety of Corpsmembers as the coronavirus continues to circulate. – Learn more

Information Related to The Corps Network Health Plan
The Corps Network Health Plan provides health insurance to thousands of AmeriCorps members and other Corpsmembers ever year. The plan is managed by the broker Willis Towers Watson. The underwriter for this plan is Cigna. Relation Insurance Services handles eligibility, billing, mailing of ID cards, and premium collection.
March 16, 2020: Cigna released this information regarding their response to the novel coronavirus
Cigna eliminated patient out-of-pocket costs for doctor-recommended COVID-19 diagnostic testing. This week, they have further expanded their coverage for COVID-19 testing-associated costs. Effective immediately, Cigna will waive members’ out-of-pocket costs for COVID-19 testing-related visits with in-network providers, whether at a doctor’s office, urgent care clinic, emergency room or via telehealth, through May 31, 2020.
For members with chronic health conditions worried about access to the medications they need, they can obtain 90-day supplies with free delivery directly to their home, and have access to Cigna pharmacists 24/7 through Cigna’s Express Scripts Pharmacy. This situation is overwhelming to process for many of us. Cigna has opened a 24-hour support hotline for its members. The number is (1-866-912-1687) to connect members directly with qualified clinicians who can provide support and guidance. More information can be found on Cigna.com.
March 27, 2020: Willis Towers Watson provided this update
We have learned from some of you that COVID-19 has affected the way some members are able to serve within their programs. We have been working with Cigna on how the health plan can be kept in place in these unusual circumstances. For members in active status working less than their normal allotment of hours, including furlough, Cigna will allow coverage to be maintained as long as the program continues paying 100% of the premium and applies it uniformly for all similarly situated members. This optional provision of expanded eligibility will remain available through May 31, 2020.
If you choose to cover members in this situation, please notify Andrea Denning at [email protected]. You will continue to maintain eligibility on Relation’s enrollment portal and premiums will be subject to the normal due dates. If any changes occur in the status of your program and members, please notify her as well.
We continue to explore options for programs that have to exit their members because of COVID-19 and will reach out to you when we have more to share.
