About the 2019 Conference – Resilience
- When: February 10 – 13, 2019
- Where: Washington, DC – The Fairmont Hotel
America’s Service and Conservation Corps build resilient communities and people. Every day, Corps help make habitats healthier, infrastructure stronger, cities more sustainable, homes more efficient, and landscapes more resistant to the effects of natural disasters. In the process of completing important projects across the country, Corps help thousands of young adults gain the certifications, confidence, and work-readiness skills to succeed in their personal and professional lives. With a history spanning over 80 years, the Corps community itself is resilient, adapting to meet the changing needs and priorities of our country. At “Resilience,” we will explore how, through partnerships and creative thinking, Corps can continue to embody and project the ability to withstand, recover, and grow.
Awards
One of the best parts about The Corps Network National Conference is the opportunity it provides to honor extraordinary people and programs in the Corps community. The nomination period has closed for our four main awards, but you can read about each award below. Winners of the Corpsmember of the Year, Project of the Year, and Legacy Achievement Awards were announced in December 2018. Winners of the 21CSC Champion of the Year Award were announced in January 2019. All awardees were recognized at Resilience in February 2019. Questions about awards can be directed to Hannah Traverse, [email protected].
