An Invitation to Our Corps & Your Corpsmembers

The Corps Network is excited to host our first virtual Corpsmember Development Day on Thursday, June 18, 2020. The purpose of this special event is to connect young adults serving in Corps across the country and provide information to assist them on their journey from the Corps into careers or education.

The registration deadline was 5:00 p.m. ET on Monday, June 15. Everyone who completed the registration form before the deadline should have received an informational email on Wednesday, June 17, with call-in details. What to Expect

This event is designed to complement professional development trainings many Corpsmembers experience during their term of service. We won’t dive into how to dress for an interview or how fill out a job application. Instead, we will focus on information to help Corpsmembers feel confident in the workplace and learn how to let their talents shine. Among other topics, the event will include information about:

    • Standing out in the job market
    • Building a professional network
    • Navigating workplace interactions

During these unprecedented times, the event will also include information about self-awareness and managing one’s mental wellbeing.

And don’t worry! We WILL have fun. There will be team-building activities, games, and prizes.

Prizes, You Say?

Yes! There will be three different opportunities to win $100 Visa gift cards.

Will this event be recorded?
Yes, but we encourage live participation in order to engage in all of the activities.

Where is the call-in information?
Everyone who completed the registration form before the deadline should have received an informational email on Wednesday, June 17, with call-in details. If you did not receive this message, please contact Hannah Traverse, [email protected].

What if I’m having trouble logging into the call?
Tech support is Laura Bibelheimer. Please contact her to troubleshoot: [email protected].

Will there be breaks?
Yes, there will be “a bio break,” as well as fun, interactive activities to transition between presenters.

What do Corpsmembers need to do to prepare?
Participants may want to come prepared to take notes.

This event is on a Thursday. Will The Corps Network still host a regular Town Hall session on June 18?
This event will not replace the town hall. The town hall will start at the usual time – 3:45 p.m. ET – on a different conference line than the one that will be used for this event.
