Position Description :

If you like adventure, mountainous beauty, and a dedication to helping others, join our Food & Beverage team at Rocky Mountain National Park. We are looking for Food Outlet Attendants who will help our guests at the Trail Ridge Store & Café by assisting them with their food and beverage choices. Making and serving quality food is the reason many of our guests return often. Working at 12,000 feet makes the experience at Rocky Mountain National Park a lifetime adventure.

 

Job Duties :

Perform all duties with respect to the Company’s Core Values, Mission Statement, and guest services standards.

Food Outlet Attendants provide excellent guest service which includes knowledge of and explanation of menu items, taking orders, suggestive upselling techniques, and securing payment as required.

Perform all cashiering duties in our stand-alone café properly, ring up all sales before taking money, call-out amount tendered in dollars and cents, place bills on register and count back change.

Processing credit card sales accurately and in accordance with company procedures.

Ensuring products are attractively displayed.

Assists with the unloading of café food, and merchandise.

Stock merchandise and merchandisers as necessary, making sure all displays are kept stocked, neat, and clean.

Preparing menu items per standard recipes.

Duties will include dishwashing, dining room attendant, stocking condiments, utensils, etc.

Work espresso coffee bar, hot foods, and food prep as directed by managers.

Maintain effective cooperation with Food & Beverage Manager, Leads, and other co-workers.

Maintaining thorough cleanliness and sanitation of work area and perform cleaning as necessary. This includes but is not limited to sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, polishing, and trash removal.

Emptying trash as needed throughout the day.

Assist in unloading merchandise, stock shelves, and ensure the dining room is well organized, stocked, sanitized, and clean.

Responding to guest requests maintaining positive interactions.

Comply with ServSafe protocol.

Able to work with minimum supervision, evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.

Perform duties outside the job classification assigned by management along with any other responsibilities deemed necessary.

This is a non-tipped position.

Requirements :

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Command of the English language with excellent verbal communication.

Able to operate a cash register, handle cash accurately, open and close the store with or without assistance.

Knowledge of all menus: specials, features, food, and beverages.

Demonstrate a basic understanding of food & beverage procedures by completing the required training.

Prior experience as a barista is helpful.

Able to function with flexibility and courteous behavior in a high traffic seasonal foodservice operation.

Candidate must be able to work at an altitude of 12, 000 feet.

Ability to stand/walk for a minimum eight to two-hour shift.

Frequently lift and carry cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.

Must have the ability to walk up and down stairs several times a day.

Carry boxes/products up and down stairs several times a day.

Must be able to bend down or kneel to stock product frequently during a shift.

Must be able to climb ladders as requested.
