The Corps Network News, March 2008
A Note from Sally
With an exciting February behind us and March ahead of us, I am pleased to update everyone on the work of The Corps Network. In February, Corps Directors from across the country came together for the 2008 Annual Corps Forum. We had special guests including Robert Siegel of All Things Considered, a popular news show on National Public Radio, Don Mathis of the Community Action Partnership, Van Jones of Green for All, and David Jones of the Community Service Society of New York. Numerous Members of Congress joined us at a Hill Ceremony including Senators Ben Cardin, Bernard Sanders, and Jon Tester, and Congresspersons Elijah Cummings, Jim Matheson, Doris Matsui, Christopher Shays, and Hilda Solis. We will also selected and trained sites for our Southeast Louisiana Youth Career Development Project, a Civic Justice Corps in the Greater New Orleans region. As always, I welcome you to give impact to our work. Please visit our website for more information.
