Lee Ann Kendrick
Lee Ann Kendrick is the Program Director of the Gulf Coast Conservation Corps (GCCC). Based in Mississippi, Lee Ann directs GCCC activities including program design, Corpsmember development, and day-to-day operations of the Corps.
Lee Ann has 16 years experience in youth development working with all age groups. Her experience has been primarily with nonprofit organizations and includes Head Start, Early Head Start, 4-H and now AmeriCorps programming. She has worked extensively with volunteers throughout her career.
Prior to joining The Corps Network, Lee Ann worked toward reestablishing Early Head Start services in East Biloxi following Hurricane Katrina. Prior to moving home to Mississippi, Lee Ann established an urban 4-H program in Las Vegas, Nevada and also worked with the University of Florida’s 4-H program in the panhandle of Florida.
Lee Ann has presented workshops at the national, regional and local level on volunteer management subject area. Lee Ann was awarded a national and a regional award for her 4-H volunteer newsletter. Additionally Lee Ann has been recognized for excellence in program development from the University of Nevada, Reno.
